“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship”.
Romans 12:1

Christians in Sport is a national evangelistic organisation whose members seek to support one another as brothers and sisters of Christ within sports societies with the aim of reaching our teammates for Christ. The nationwide vision is to have a Christian in every sports team in the country, living, playing and speaking for Jesus. In almost every way the group is similar to the UCCF Christian Union, the difference being that we all play university sport and get involved in the social side of that.

The group has been running at Holloway since January 2010 and uses sports-based gospel events alongside all important personal evangelism. In the years to come we hope to build the group in numbers and as disciples, regularly holding evangelistic events.

The three principles of CiS are Pray, Play, Say: Praying for our teammates regularly, playing in a way that honours God and taking our opportunities to speak about Jesus. Read Colossians 4:2-6.

We meet once a week on match day to eat, pray together and study God's word over a breakfast feast of mostly bacon, so that God’s grace is fresh on our minds before we play. We are non-denominational from a range of sports and backgrounds and encourage participation in the local churches and the Christian Unions.

Feel free to get in contact to learn more about what we believe and practice or if you wish to get involved!

     Yours in Christ

"To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings."
1 Corinthians 9:22-23
